OUR INNOVATIONS
CLEAR CORRECT
ClearCorrect aligners are made from a multi-layer medical-grade plastic that was designed over years of research and trials. The result is a stunningly transparent and resilient aligner that moves teeth effectively. The software behind is made by the ClearCorrect software teams located in different areas. In the Berlin software center we take care of the backend case treatment software as well as the the customer front end ClearPilot.
FALCON
The Straumann Falcon is a system for Dynamic Navigation. It is used in computer-assisted instrument navigation during dental procedures. Dynamic Navigation is a technology that allows to use free-hand technique together with 3D-visualization of the instruments in real time. The Dynamic Navigation System Falcon includes a computer with its software, a touchscreen control unit for live monitoring and a camera fixed to the handpiece. The latter allow the dental surgeon to see the current position of the drill as compared to the plan while only moving his/her eyes. Falcon is a class-2 medical device which brings additional regulatory requirements.
FINAL SURFACER
Final Surfacer is a Dental 3D Engine, created over the past 15 years. Many technically challenging algorithms in the field of 3D data processing have been developed and integrated, always with a strong focus on achieving exceptionally high performance. We work with traditional triangle meshes and utilize topological operators and algorithms such as Boolean-Operations to achieve our goals. Over time, numerous dental algorithms have also been implemented, such as the radius milling correction or the undercut-removal for the design and manufacturing of prosthetic elements.
